Whichever way you join us, a day at Taunton Racecourse is one of the most welcoming and enjoyable days out in Jump racing.

A single Admission ticket gives you access to the Orchard and Portman grandstands, the Orchard Restaurant and Saddle Room Café, and the centre course via the public crossing - so you can follow the action wherever it takes you.

Book online by midday the day before racing to save at least £5 per person off the gate price, with bigger savings on group bookings.

Frequently asked questions

When do I need to book by?
Advance discounted tickets are available online up to noon the day before racing. Subject to availability we can also accept online payments for admission on the day. Raceday packages must be booked by noon on the day before racing for collection on the day.
How will I receive my tickets?
Admission tickets are emailed to you as an eTicket - bring it printed or displayed on your phone. Racecard vouchers and Raceday-package vouchers are emailed too, and exchanged on the day at the Racecard Seller by the Main Gate.
Are racecards included?
Racecards are included in the Raceday Package. Otherwise they're £3 on the day or available online at £2.50 when you buy your ticket by noon the day before racing.
Do you refund tickets?
Refunds are paid in the event of abandonment only. Tickets are otherwise non-refundable.
Who is eligible for a free Personal Assistant ticket?
The eligibility criteria for complimentary personal assistant admission are regularly reviewed and the racecourse reserves the right to update them from time to time. Currently, any individual over the age of 18 who has purchased an entry ticket and receives one of the following benefits are eligible to apply for a free personal assistant ticket:
  • Disability Living Allowance (DLA)
  • Attendance Allowance (AA)
  • Personal Independence Payment (PIP)
  • Armed Forces Independence Payment (AFIP)
  • Additionally, people who are Registered Blind and/or Deaf are also eligible.
Please note – in all cases, the racecourse reserves the right to decline to accept an application or to request additional evidence if, in the racecourses view and discretion, there is reasonable doubt that the applicant would be at a substantial disadvantage in attending without the personal assistant given the accessibility facilities and services available at the racecourse. How to apply for Personal Assistant ticket Please purchase a general admission ticket for yourself in advance. On the day, please bring with you a copy of an official letter which shows that you are in receipt of one of the benefits listed above. This letter must have your address and we also require photographic ID of yourself which confirms the address on the letter. Those holders of just a Blue Badge are unable to apply for a Personal Assistant ticket. Additional Information
  • In the event of an emergency visual and audible provisions are in place to inform customer of evacuation. Staff are fully trained and available to provide assistance.
  • Taunton Racecourse welcomes assistance dogs and has water bowls and a dedicated relieving area in the centre course.
